EmPhil Kennels was established in 1981 by Emery, Phil Pete and their two sons Jeff and Nick. Their two sons at the time were only 4 and 2 years old but were animal lovers since the day they were born. In fact, every time a new child was born, Emery and Phil got a new Newfoundland puppy or two. At one time during their childhood, Jeff and Nick had 35 four legged Newfoundland friends. Emery was an All-Breed Dog Handler and many of his clients and their friends said they needed a really good kennel to leave their pets at when they went away. Thus was the beginning of " EmPhil ". What started as a hobby kennel has grown into a full time business for the Pete's and their six employees. In 1997, Jeff and Nick took over the family business so their parents could semi-retire.

EmPhil is located on 20 wooded acres in the Loganville area. We are approximately 2 miles off of Hwy 78. We like to think we sit in the middle of paradise. It's a quiet and peaceful atmosphere for your pets to spend their vacation. We feel like we are in the mountains of North Georgia with all our four-legged friends joining in the fun.
